Obituary of Fred Lachance

On May 9th, 2016, one week after his 20th birthday, our unconditionally loved Fred left the world we all shared with him. Everyone is invited to join our family during visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior, ON, on Saturday, May 21st, from 10 am to 11:45 am. A Celebration of Life will follow from noon to 12:55 pm after which a light lunch will be served. Fred was our - Claude Lachance and Marie-Claude (MC) Lessard's - beloved son and teacher. Cherished and sometimes pesky brother of Jean-Christophe (JC) Lachance. Dearly loved grandson of Arthur Lachance (feu Madeleine Ouellet) of Hawkesbury, ON, Michèle Manseau of Sherbrooke, QC, and feu Robert Lessard. Dear nephew of Jean-Rock Lessard, Jacinthe Lessard (Alain Gagnon), Louis Lachance (France Gagnon), Martine Lachance (Kevin Fortier), Annie Lessard, Guy Lachance (Lucie Godin), Patrick Vallières, Wendy Sims, and Thierry Roberge. Kind cousin to Nicholas Lessard, Nicholas Lachance, Elisabeth Lachance, Jade Roberge, Alexandre Lachance, Evan Lessard, Laurence Charest, Zachary Vallières, Mélissandre Fortier, Jonathan Lachance, Lou-Anne Fortier, and Élodie Vallières. Fred will also be fondly remembered by his many gentle friends and devoted teachers as well as many distant cousins, great aunts and great uncles, many of whom he never had a chance to meet. We, Fred's family, wish to take this opportunity to raise awareness around mental and emotional health challenges. There is no simple or unique solution to such suffering of the soul but if we, all who are touched by it, share our stories, we can at least walk this journey together. Il n'y a pas de solution simple ni unique à cette profonde souffrance de l'âme mais si tous ceux qui sont touchés partagent leur histoire, nous pourrons, au moins, cheminer ensemble.
