Obituary of Eileen Gallagher

(nee Villeneuve)

Peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Saturday evening, February 24, 2024, Eileen of Arnprior, formerly of Pembroke, passed away at the age of 82.

Proud and loved mother of Jody Leitch and Brian Gallagher. Dear sister of Darrell Villeneuve (Monika) and Ann McIntosh. Daughter of the late Clifford and Marjorie Villeneuve. Sister-in-law of Jean Gallagher (late MJ). Predeceased by her brother David (Barbara) as well a brothers-in-law: Earl Gallagher (late Eileen), Elmer Gallagher (late Phyllis) and sisters-in-law: Loretta Reid (late Don), Vida Raymond (late Sylvester) and Eunice Tackney (late Ellard). Former wife of the late Francis Gallagher. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and great friends both in Arnprior and Pembroke.

Eileen loved and enjoyed the simpler things in life. Spending time with her children at Brian’s cottage; being with friends; gardening; mowing the lawn; day trips to various small towns complete with food tastings in their local restaurants; sitting on the front porch and watching people go by. She will be missed by those who knew her and those she loved.

Eileen’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior

where visitation will be held on Friday evening, March 1^st from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday morning, March 2^nd from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m.

A Service to remember Eileen will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock.

A reception will follow.
