Obituary of Bernice Valin

VALIN, Bernice Peacefully in hospital, Arnprior with loved ones by her side on Tuesday morning, August 10th, 2010. Bernice Irene Valin of Arnprior at the age of 90 years. Dear daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Ritza (formerly of Barry's Bay). Beloved wife of the late Bernard Valin (July 1, 1996). Dearly loved mother of Deborah Valin of Arnprior; Frank Valin (Micheline Groulx) of Gatineau and Doug Valin of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of James and Bryan Valin and Kim Knight (Andy) and great-grandmother of Cody and Sofie Knight. Predeceased by 2 brothers: Frank and Clifford as well as 3 sisters: Gertrude Hood, Evelyn Pouliot and Janet Marie Gould. Bernice is also survived by her sister-in-law Gladys Retza. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. Friday. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Friday morning, August 13th at 10 o'clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. For those wishing, a donation made to the Arnprior Hospital "Partners in Caring" campaign would be appreciated by the family.
