Our condolences to the family. She was always upbeat and laughter was always around Denise. She babysat me a few times and her smile was and is infectious through her daughter and grandchildren. Matthew26:34 being a religious woman I know she is in good hands! The scripture that I always went to in my mothers passing was John 14 :1-4. The Lord is our healer and he is with us and her always:D

Denise is one of a kind and irreplaceable. She will be so missed. Her bright smile and wonderful sense of humor will be embedded in our hearts forever. Her kindness and generosity went above and beyond. We could never have been able to thank her enough for all she did and for all the love she generously gave to others. She always knew just how to put a smile on our face and make us laugh, …her gift to us from God. Olivia, Sophia and Ashley – Her world!! There was seldom a moment that she didn’t speak of her beloved girls. Her face would light up and her smile as big and bright as the sun. She lived for her grandchildren, they were her inspiration. The wonderful love she had for them cannot be compared. May we all say a special prayer for them. Lord always be with them, comfort and protect them each and every day. Her greatest legacy will always be in her wonderful daughter and grandchildren she loved so dearly. We know that words alone seem hardly enough to ease the pain. Know that our prayers and our thoughts are with you on the loss of a precious Nanny, Mom and dear friend. Pastors and friends from West Carleton Christian Assembly

Tabitha: There are no words to say how sorry we are for the loss of your Mom. She was a dear and special friend. Your Mom, my sister Linda and I we called ourselves the Soul Sista's, she loved that - we use to sing and dance to that song. When she use to come to my work place for residents for people with mental disorders (not sure if she mentioned it to you),she got such a kick out of some of my residents, they loved her, they couldn't wait till she came to bible study. Your Mom was a special lady, I don't know how she knew but she always knew exactly when to make me laugh, she knew when I was hurting. She had a special gift of accepting people for who they were. The fondest memory I have of your Mom, I have so many, but the time she came to my house and we went to Dominion Outreach Centre....we laughed so hard that night. A couple of my residents came with her, Linda and I and we had so much fun, you're mom almost wet her pants we were laughing so hard. Now that's your Mom, such a wonderful sense of humor. The night we had "it only takes a spark" for the ladies at WCCA we gave her a facial, manicure and pedicure and I gave her a long massage...she was in her glory....she was the only one that would let us take a picture of her with her face all full of goo..again we laughed so hard. I will miss her dearly. She loved to give Bill a hug, and sneak a few goodies for him at the Sunday Celebrations. She was the first person to know that Bill and I were getting together and she was so happy for us when we told her we were getting married. What a lady she was. There are really no words to say to you and your precious daughters, she loved you and your precious "little angels" as she called them so much. Never was a time or moment that she didn't speak of you guys. You and her grandchildren were her world. She was so proud last winter at the Santa Claus parade with her precious little angel's beside her on that float. The memories, so many, so little time....we extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family...you are in Bill and I's thoughts and in our prayers. The picture that I painted for her - she use to say that she was going to walk with God down that path, now she is...and I can just see her skipping down that path not walking..singing skip-a-di-do-da day!! Danielle and Bill

Tabitha, I worked with your mom at Jim's for many years. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control and the control of your mom, things went a little south for us when I left Jim's. I wanted you to know that I felt very highly of your mother and admired what a great mom she was to you. She had a heart of gold and even through all of the "stuff" that went on, I knew she was forced into doing what she had to do to keep her job. I have no doubt that she will be watching over you and your beautiful children from heaven, just as she did from earth. My sincerest sympathies.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Denise and especially to my dear friend Tabitha and her children. Denise was a wonderful woman full of love, support, and truth. She was there for me when I needed support the most and I will always be grateful for that. She called a spade a spade and was never shy on speaking her mind even when the truth was hard to hear. Her open mind and open heart brought laughter, joy and fun to anyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed but more importantly always remembered in the hearts of her friends and family. All my love Ryan.

Denise you were such a fun, laid back person with a big heart! I grew up with you all through my childhood, spending countless hours being babysat by you or just going over to visit you and Tabitha and the cats, I used to look forward to the VHS tapes with horror movies on them. I could talk to you about anything, your laughter and sense of humour was refreshing. You will be missed and I hope your looking over Tabitha and the girls. XO

Den... your infectious laugh could pull me out of a funk every time. You knew just what to say to me when I needed either encouragement or a kick in the pants. Your house was one of the few places I could walk into at any time and have no fear of being judged or misunderstood. You pegged me so well. Figured me out. Made no presumptions and provided me with so many great memories to cherish. I know you have gone to meet Jesus. I miss you and I'm going to miss you for a long long time. I love you. Right now, you would say, "Ok, Kiddo" and roll your eyes that I was being so mushy about it. Well... it is what it is. See you soon. Say hello to Mom and Dad.

May the Lord grant you His Peace, the strength to carry on, and an understanding of the gift that is his Kingdom. Denise was part of our church family at West Carleton. Her cheerfulness, no matter what she was going through, and her willingness to pray for us and whomever was in need will always be remembered. She was "real" - and what a testimony that was for so many of us! We will miss her and pray for all of you during this sad time of loss. But be encouraged - she is with the Lord and fully restored !
