Obituary of Donald Munro

MUNRO, Donald C. (Retired Ontario Hydro) Peacefully at Garden Terrace, Kanata on Friday afternoon, November 12th, 2010. Donald Charles Munro of Woodlawn at the age of 96 years. Dear son of the late Charles Graham Munro and the late Emma Weatherdon. Donald was predeceased by his beloved wife Eleanor (nee Orme) on May 26th, 2010 after almost 67 years of marriage. Dearly loved father of Colin Munro (Leah) of Fort Simpson, NWT; Bruce Munro (Mary) and Judy Wall (David), both of Woodlawn. Cherished and proud "Poppy" of 8 grandchildren: Andrea, Leanne, Andrew, Craig, Sarah, Kelly, Carrie and Blair as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Taylor, Connor, Alicia, Alex and Michael. Predeceased by his only sister, Mary Owens (late Ken). Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Monday. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Monday morning, November 15th at 11 o'clock. A reception will follow in the Pilon Family Reception Centre. Interment Whyte's Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbour. In memory of Donald, a donation made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by his family.
