Obituary of James Buckley

BUCKLEY, James Oliver "Jim" (Service Technician-Bell Canada) Peacefully at home, Arnprior in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 22nd, 2011. Jim Buckley, at the age of 51 years. Dear son of Kathleen (Nee Shaw) of Kanata and of the late Charlie Buckley. Beloved husband and best friend of Sue (Nee Lafranchise). Dearly loved and respected father of Stephen (and his wife Megan) of Stewartville and Andy, at home. Loved brother of Dan (Teresa) and Katie Buckley (Kevin Mohr), both of Stittsville; Joe of Carleton Place; Fran Spekkens (Paul) of Burlington, Ontario; Mary Buckley (Tony Thompson) of Chelsea, P.Q. and Meg Dussault (Paddy) of Ottawa. Special son-in-law of Eddie and Shirley Lafranchise of Carleton Place and brother-in-law of Debbie Gavin of Carleton Place and Bruce Lafranchise (Kelly) of Orleans. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim will also be dearly missed by the family's canine buddy, Duke. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Thursday only from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A private family interment will take place at the Malloch Road Cemetery in Arnprior. In memory of Jim, a donation made to The Motorcycle Ride for Dad (to aid the fight against prostate cancer) would be appreciated by his family.
