DUNLOP, Andy Suddenly on Friday afternoon, March 4th, 2011. Andrew Frank "Andy" Dunlop of White Lake at the age of 66 years. Dear son of the late Frank Dunlop and the late Hilda Cowan of Ottawa. Andy was raised by his stepmother, the late Jean McDaniel and her late husband, Bob of Carleton Place. Beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Nee Butler). Treasured father of Leah Barrie (Nathan) of Clayton. Andy was predeceased by his 2 sons, Drew in 2001 and Christopher in 2008. Adored and proud "Grandpa" of Alexia, Andy was to become a Grandpa once again within the next 2 weeks. Very special brother-in-law of Doris Berndt (late Doug) of Buckingham; Dennis Butler (Ruby) of Sudbury; Vivian Lamarche (late Joe) of Mayo, P.Q.; Lorraine McDermid (late Lyall) of Silver Creek, P.Q.; Alvin Butler (Ellie) of Mayo; Mervin Butler (Eileen) of Buckingham; Monica Lafrance (Bob) of Westchester Station, N.S. and Virginia Sellers (late John) of Buckingham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Andy was well known for his tireless volunteerism and outstanding community spirit. Among his many accomplishments and contributions, he is most recently remembered as: Former Councillor of McNab-Braeside; Past Grand Knight of K of C Council 2082, Arnprior; Faithful member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Canadian Martyrs Assembly 1597; Past 1st Vice President and Sgt. At Arms of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174, Arnprior; Past President of The Arnprior Lions Club; Past Zone Chairman of The Lions Club. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Wednesday afternoon, March 9th at 1 o'clock. Cremation will follow with interment at the White Lake Cemetery in the spring. In memory of Andy, a donation made to Arnprior Kidsport or the Raise the Roof Campaign of St. John Chrysostom Church would be appreciated by his family. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174, Arnprior will assemble at the funeral home for a Tribute Service on Tuesday evening at 6:30. Members of the Knights of Columbus, (Both Third and Fourth Degrees) will assemble at the funeral home for prayers on Tuesday evening at 6:45.
