Dear Terry, Ross and Mary: We were shocked and saddened to learn or Jack's passing. Although we had known Jack for a short time during our ministry in Arnprior, we were always thrilled to hear of how God was working in his life. Now he is with the One he served. May you be comforted in knowing that others care and are praying you for at this difficult time. Behind the horizon is a place of peace where feelings of comfort and joy never cease.... Dearest Terry, Ross, Mary, Kendra, Iris and families: This doesn't seem possible to me. I am so very sorry for the loss of such a stellar man: a sensitive and teaching father, a loving and supportive brother and a kindred spirited affectionate husband. If someone asked me to describe Jack in a very few words, I would always say: "He's the guy that's always smiling! He always had a calmness about him. He always listened when you spoke." There is going to be a huge hole in your lives without him in person, but you know in your hearts that Jack (Dad) will never leave you in spirit. Just remember his eyes. I remember with many smiles the fun times we all spent together in various venues - attending weddings, chilling at P Lake, BBQing under carports, sipping in back yards, splashing in the creek behind the house or sharing the warm and friendship of a meal together. They seemed to be simpler, less stressful times - but perhaps my memory has become selective. I feel a little emptier today than I felt last week. Please keep close to each other - spend more time together - talk about Jack often and keep all of the memories you have a close as you can - always. I wish I could join in the celebration of Jack's life on Wednesday, however I am unfortunately on the road and can not change my plans at this time. But please know that I will be there with all of you in thought and prayer. We'll talk soon. My sincere thoughts and love, Bryan (Pam, Makenzie + Jay)

We met the Youngs through our children. Ross and Graham both attended McNab Public school. I developed a friendship with Jack when he acquired a horse and he was looking to learn about training it. I taught him a few tricks and he flourished. His love for the horses was immense. Terry supported Jack in his passion wholeheartedly. Jack was always there to lend a hand.
