Dear Alta and family, We were saddened to hear of Norm's sudden passing....it was not that long ago we had a great chat about things at Al's funeral. Unfortunately we haven't had much time together but the times we did have were always enjoyable and Norm was always upbeat and so pleasant to speak to. I hear from many of your friends the trips you both have had and it sounds like you have had a wonderful life together. Our prayers of peace and comfort are with you and your family at this time. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 says...So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. John & Ruth Beardsley

At a family BBQ last year, I brought my children and grandchildren. We had just gone to a Scottish Tattoo the day before. Catie was so proud to show off her Celtic Cross and Scotland bracelet to Uncle Norm. She turned to me and she said, "Mum, we have a lot of Lorente relatives but isn't great that we have the Watt's? It gives us the best family in the world. We really did get spoiled on the family side. Uncle Norm overheard her and had a tear in his eye saying, "And Catie we are so blessed to have you too. Your grandmother would be so proud of you all." This is the gift that Uncle Norm gave my children, continuity in family and heritage. He told my kids stories that they will hand down to there children and therefore will never be forgotten. What can't be forgotten, can't be lost. Thank you Uncle Norm

To All The Watts We will miss Uncle Norm so much. He will always be remembered for his kindness, his commitment to family, community, breast cancer support and his hugs. You have our prayers and tears and hugs. We wish we could make this trying time easier for you but he leaves such a great hole in the world that we can only offer unrelenting love and support to you to fill it up. There is no doubt he will be the same guardian angel in heaven as he was to his family on earth. Love to all

During this difficult time I would like to extend my most heartfelt sympathies. If you need a friend to help you through this, you know who to call. Norm, you were a great friend. You gave of yourself each and every day either to your family, your friends, your community,or a perfect stranger. I sign of a man's wealth is not a measure of his bank account, the size of his home, or the car he drives. It's the size of his heart and how many peoples' lives he has touched in good times, and in bad. Norm McLean Watt you were a great man.
