Obituary of Robert Hobbs

HOBBS, Brent "Joe" Unexpectedly at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus while surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday morning, May 4th, 2011. Robert Brent "Joe" Hobbs of Arnprior at the age of 75 years. Dear son of the late Hilliard Hobbs and the late Gladys Findlay. Beloved husband for over 18 years of Mary (nee Rubic). Dearly loved father of Hilliard "Red" Hobbs of South Mountain; Ann Kohls (Steven) of Kemptville and step-father of Glen Howard (Kimberly) of Arnprior and Janice Farhood (Craig) of Waterloo, Ontario. Brent was predeceased by his first wife, Mary (nee McBane) as well as their daughter, Ruth Hobbs. Cherished and proud "Poppy" of Matthew (Nicky), Ruthann, Ryan, Laura, Cory, Noah and Dylan. Dear brother of Weldon Hobbs (Merle), Sterling Hobbs (Marion) and Ruth Russell (Eason), all of Shawville. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Saturday, May 7th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate Brent's life will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Sunday afternoon, May 8th at 2 o'clock. Rev. Steven Kohls officiating. Interment to take place at Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Shawville, Quebec later in the afternoon. In memory of Brent, a donation to the Arnprior, Braeside and McNab Seniors at Home Program or the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital Partners in Caring Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
