DEMERS, Marcel (Retired Canadian Armed Forces) (Veteran of the Korean War) (Member RCL, Branch 174, Arnprior) Peacefully at The Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior while surrounded by his loving family on Saturday evening, May 21, 2011. Marcel Arthur Joseph Demers of Arnprior at the age of 80 years. Son of the late Emile and Marguerite Demers. Beloved and devoted husband for over 56 years of Betty (nee Code). Dearly loved and proud father of Michael (Debbie) of Orléans and Penny Fulford of Arnprior. Cherished grandfather of Tyler and Cory and great-grandfather of Sloane. Dear brother of Huguette Waschmuth of California. Marcel wil be fondly remembered by the many members of the Code family of Arnprior. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Saturday morning, May 28th from 9 until 10:45 a.m. A funeral service will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o'clock. Canon Roger Young of Emmanuel Anglican Church officiating. In memory of Marcel, a donation to The Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by his family. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174, Arnprior are requested to attend the funeral service for Marcel and a Legion Tribute will be conducted at the conclusion of the formal service.
