My sincerest condolences to Tena's family and friends. I am saddened to hear of Tena's passing and am sorry that I only found out today. My memories of Tena begin somewhere in the mid-80's when the youth groups from churches in and around the Ottawa Valley would get together for rallies, snow camps and other exciting special events. What a fun and silly time the Arnprior and Aylmer gangs did have. For including yourself in some of my golden memories I can only say, Thank you Tena.

I myself had a bout with breast cancer and Tena was there to support me. She was also there to stand by me when my father passed in March of this year. Now she is gone. Paul and Family, We only learned recently just how ill Tena had become, and can only regret not having taken time to spend with her, and having been there for you Paul. We always think and hope that we have more time or that the news will be better soon... I remember Tena for her genuine warmth and smile, she had a loving, happy nature that always made you feel so welcome, and at ease. I still remember your wedding reception and just how happy and in love you both were. We were so happy for you both because everything was so right. I could always share laughs and stories with her about the ball games, parties, husbands or kids, which just let me know how much she loved you all. I had the pleasure of meeting Tena when she joined the 911 Support Group and the Ottawa Cancer Centre. Once those meetings finished we kept in contact through email and I was able to visit Tena at her home and hoped to have many more visits. To Paul and the rest of your family, you have my deepest sympathy, and my thoughts and prayers are will you. While I didn't know Tena for long, I will miss her. Unfortunately I will be unable to make the funeral as I am travelling out of province starting tomorrow.

I was saddened to learn how hard and how long Tena had struggled with cancer. She was a fighter! I was deeply saddened to learn that she passed away yesterday, but relieved to hear she isn't in pain any longer. Tena was such a kind, giving, happy & uplifting person - an inspiration of how to be a truly "good person". Dear Paul I am so so sorry for your loss, My God at such a young age. Hopefully, in a better place. As a matter of fact, I'm sure of that. Jane and my hearts go out to you in so many ways. I never really got to know Teena, and for that I'll always be sorry because being in love with you, she had to have been a good person.
