Obituary of Eileen Currie

CURRIE, Eileen Peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Saturday morning, August 6th, 2011 following a lengthy and courageous struggle with cancer. Eileen Catherine Currie, aged 69 years. Dear daughter of the late Archie Currie and the late Catherine Scott (Gilmette). Loved mother of Debbie Bissonnette (Réjean) of Eganville and proud grandmother of Danielle. Predeceased by a son, Danny. Dear sister of John Currie (Bonnie); Michael Currie (Diane); Rita Clouthier; Doreen Duncan (Doug); Mary Blimkie (M.J.); Caroline Currie and Annette Dupuis (Gerard). Dear step-sister of Earl Gilmette (Roxy) and John Gilmette (Carol). Predeceased by a step-brother, Edward "Buddy" Gilmette. Eileen was loved and cherished by her many nieces and nephews and her entire extended family. Her love for life and her devotion to weekly bingo kept her going strong and will never be forgotten. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. only. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Friday morning, August 12th at 10 o'clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery. In memory of Eileen, a donation to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation "Maurice J. Grimes Lodge" would be appreciated by her family.
