Obituary of William Thompson

THOMPSON, Bill Peacefully at Hospice Renfrew while surrounded by loved ones on Monday morning, August 8, 2011. William Forrest Thompson of Pakenham at the age of 83 years. Dear son of the late Robert Thompson and the late Essie Pearl. Beloved husband and best friend of Ruby (nee Buck). Dearly loved father of Wendy Phillips (Kevin) of Hopetown; Cindy Butineau (Ross) of Penetanguishine and Sheila McCready (Al) of Arnprior. Dear brother of Isobel Patterson and Sheila Jocko (late Matt), both of Toronto and Marlene Belmore (Raymond Roi) of Elliot Lake. Predeceased by brothers, Robert "Bob" Thompson (late Grace) and Jack Thompson (Eleanor of Kinburn). Cherished grandfather of Karen Phillips; Cora and Jake Butineau; Jesse Friend (Chelsie) and Cody Friend. Great-grandfather of William. Fondly remembered by his special nephew, Bob Thompson III as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 1 p.m. Thursday. A Service in thanksgiving of Bill's life will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Thursday afternoon, August 11th at 2 o'clock. Pastor Lee Dyck of First Baptist Church, Arnprior officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will then take place at St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Woodlawn after the luncheon. In memory of Bill, a donation to Hospice Renfrew would be appreciated by his family.
