Dear John, Jeff, and Erin,
I
I am so sad to hear the news of Marilyn's death. We first met at A.U.C.C. in 1990. We would occasionally get together in the 90's and then we lost touch with each other. I am sad that that happened.
I remember Marilyn well as a kind, thoughtful and insightful person. I am stricken that she did not even become a senior. Life and destiny take a cruel path and I am so sorry that we didn't see each other for all these years.
I am sending each of you a hug and my condolecences for you loss and grief.

Dear Jeff, dear Erin:
My heart goes out to you. I too feel your pain and your loss. I have known Marilyn for so many years, too many to count, and although our paths crossed at most irregular times we still had lots in common, and her smile was always there and her support and dedication to MMM always remained steadfast.I will miss her - she was small in stature but strong in her opinions and convictions, and always steady in her support of others. Much love to you both - Erica

We are deeply saddened by Marilyn's passing. Although we only had a short time to get to know her, we could see how much she cared for others, her capacity for deep introspection and her sense of humour. We will miss her lovely presence. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her entire family and friends.

Jeff, I'm so sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts reach out to your all. Marilyn was so full of life and so giving. I remember chatting with her often when she lived next door to you. I also remember her visiting Madeleine and Alfred Haynes on the occasion of their anniversary. Ron still has on display in the living room of their house, the lovely cushion that Marilyn gave them. She was thoughtful and kind.

Marilyn, side by side just a few short weeks ago, we celebrated as a group, a collective accomplishment. I had never met you before Meet Me at the Mayfair in May of this year. You and I sat beside each other at the end of August, around the bonfire singing songs and laughing with cast, crew, family members and most importantly - new friends. It's hard to believe when you look over, to imagine that the person beside you would be gone. Thank you for your dedication and support. And I hope life, while cut short.....was fulfilling and full of love. Knowing you for such a short time, I felt that you took one day as it came without looking back. May you rest in peace knowing your memory lives on in your family and with old and "new" friends. Here's to Performance!

John, Jeff and Erin:
I was saddened to read of Marilyn's passing in the Saturday Ottawa Citizen. Reading of her passing, brought back so many memories of the happy times with the whole Cavill family; the meals we shared, the visits to your cottage up in Barry's Bay, Jeff and Erin trick and treating at Kilbourn Avenue at Halloween.
Marilyn was a special soul; I always appreciated her support and insight into what life sends your way.
I also remember her sense of humour and how important her family was to her.
