Dear Dorothy, Brent,,Jen and families,
The Metcalfe family in New Zealand would like to express our condolences. Even though we have never met in person we feel we know you and we are part of your larger family. My husband and I have never really met you, Bill, but have heard many favorable things about you. Brent often talks about being brought up on a farm, and the social and Christian life built around it. You sounded like a very good father, hard-working and good with discipline and very loving. Your wife sounded the same way. All in all, Brent turned out well so you did a good job.

I've had the honour of knowing Bill for over the past 10 years at church. Every time I asked him how he was doing, he would always smile back and say he's fine.
Bill was always smiling, no matter what physical pain he may be in. I know God was always smiling on his life here on earth, and now Bill is smiling right beside Jesus in Heaven.

Dear Dorothy, Brent,Jennifer and family.
I am so sorry to see you have lost your beloved Bill. His suffering is over and he is enjoying his reward.
"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord".2Cor.5:8
Bill and Dorothy will always remain very special to me as they were used of God to bring me to His saving grace. The first time I met them with my friend Jim Rutherford, at the Wesleyan Church Bible study, they invited me to their farm for fellowship because of their genuine love of God and others who were lost.
I have enjoyed your friendship and fellowship many times at your farm since 1984 and was always made to feel special as a child of God. Thank you friends!
May Jesus Our Comforter be precious and real to you in your time of sorrow. He cares for you and is praying for you.
