Heather Forsyth posted a condolence

Dear Carol, Please accept my condolences for the loss of Heather. I had not seen Heather for many years until my Mom was sick this year and then we had an opportunity to reconnect - and it was so great to share memories with Heather. She was so kind and gentle with Mom but always with a spirit that was lively - just what I remembered. I am sure you will miss her immensely but Heaven will be a much brighter place for her presence as things always had a tendancy to sparkle around her. Take care of yourself and know that I am sending you a big hug to get through 'those moments'. Heather Forsyth

While I am in no way close to Heather as many people were, I still had to send my deepest condolences. I met Heather two years ago upon moving to Arnprior and had secured a nursing position with the Hospital; Being a big city girl, I thought I knew everything, but did I have so much to learn; And it was Heather who had made me realize that very quickly; Heather was the first person who trained me, and I never ever forgot what I learned from that woman; Nursing, of course, but something so much more: I learned about the value of relationships with colleagues, family, integrity, pride, and professionalism, and most of all, kindness. Heather was the true definition of a nurse, and quickly took me under her wing at that time, and I will never forget how welcome she made me feel, as well as the warm hug recieved by her when I once again returned this summer. Her kindness is not something that is easily found in the city, nor is her special nursing abilities. I will truly miss her and grateful I had the chance to work with her one last time. My prayers go to the family and friends of Heather, as well as my nursing colleagues who must surely be feeling a tremendous loss at the Hospital. They have really big shoes to fill.
