Growing up in the village, I have many memories of Daryle, specifically my ride to town in that great old car with the roof down. I was truly saddened to hear of Daryle's passing. Bev and I were shocked and terribly saddened by hearing of Daryle's recent death. We are members at Mountain Creek Golf Club and had both golfed with Daryle and Fay on several occasions. While we knew of Daryle's illness and his frustrations in waiting for a transplant operation, we were very impressed with his positive attitude. We will always remember his humour and smile. Fay, Norm, and Sandy, I am SO sorry to hear about Daryle. This sort of thing is not supposed to happen to one of the nicest guys I, (or all of us) have ever met. It breaks my heart to hear that you have to continue life without him. Norm; I finally tried the "choke cherry jelly"; Daryle assured me that I'd love it, and sure enough, it's tart, but it is great! Fay and family please accept my sincere condolences on the too soon passing of Daryle. Like everyone else I will also miss his smile and always so friendly ways. Daryle was always happy to see everyone and you knew that by the way he greeted you.I had no idea how ill he was but that did not stop him from smiling.
