We want to send our deepest condolences to you during this difficult time. Shane was a very close friend of ours over the last few years. He was my 4 year old sons' personal barber, as Cody would never let anyone cut his hair, but "HANE" We enjoyed so many great times together, he always brought a smile to our faces and was always full of stories as he always had something interesting going on, he was always a real ladies man! He loved his work and was one of the best. He will reamain in our hearts and our memories forever and he will be greatly missed by our family and the many friends who loved him. We are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Shane's Family and Friends: It came as a sudden shock and still I am in disbelief of the loss of Shane. I would like to send my condolences to the family and friends of Shane. I have known Shane for many years and will always have fond memories of him. Shane cut my hair when I was a client where he volunteered his time. He always was very friendly and we had a lot of wonderful conversations about many things. I had a chance to see him when he "shed his dreds" in support of Phoenix Youth Programs. I remember when he first put his dreds in and it was nice to be able to share with him when he cut them off. Shane was an incredible spirit and his genuine concern and interest really made him unique and very special to all who had the priviledge of knowing or speaking to him. He will be sadly missed and will live on in many people's hearts, including mine. Shane, I will carry your spirit on, may your final journey bring you eternal peace. Sincerely, Chasity Meuse Halifax NS

To the Robillard Family and Friends: Shane was a very unique man. He always had a smile on his face and he always treated people with fairness and respect. I met Shane at the Phoenix Youth Programs many years ago. He always had kind words for you and had a great way at cheering someone up. Shane volunteered at Phoenix Youth Programs cutting clients hair for free. I have the pleasure and joy of having him cut my own hair as well as my daughters. As time moved on he would come to my house to cut and dye my hair. He always did an excellent job and took pride in his work. I have not seen Shane in a few years as I moved to another country. I was very shocked and saddened to hear about his tragic death. Shane is one of those people you just never forget. Not just for his abilities with the scissors, but of the type of person he really was inside. Kind, loving, strong, thoughtful and caring. Shane you will be forever missed. Our condolences to his family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and my prayers during this sad time. Jennifer (Eagar) Marknette and family, Boulder, Colorado, USA

In the days to come while you may be feeling pain, remember this-God never gives us anything he doesn't think we are strong enough to deal with or learn from...and maybe it's this...When you think of Shane, remember to celebrate his life and reflect on how many lives he touched in small and large ways. Being a big brother to Darrell, an honest and loyal son to Kathy and Dave, a dedicated boyfriend, understanding friend to many, a thoughtful neighbour, a diligent student, a man that felt it important to donate his time and give to others, talented in his work, and a true kind spirit. You can never "pay him back" for the kindnesses and great things he did throughout his life...you can only pay it forward. Continue to live and give and enjoy in your own life and you send that beautiful gift forward for others to experience.

Shane was my friend. He was a genuinely good person. This should NOT have happened to him. The way I'm dealing with it is believing that Shane was TOO good for us. He is needed elsewhere on a higher level to do work that none of us are yet ready for. Shane gave of himself for those less fortunate than himself, this in my eyes has always meant he is a special and loving soul who cared about people, not many people are like this especially at his young age. Shane is still among us, I feel his presence and his usual attempt to soothe his friends by saying 'don't worry about me, I'm safe and well'. Shane fought with his inner demons just like the rest of us, not one of us can truly say that we're not battling some kind of inner struggle right now. Shane is now battling bigger demons on our behalf. Gods timing was poor but his choice was a wise one in choosing a Gladiator such as Shane to protect us and watch over us, to make sure we have an angel with strength and character to represent us. My deepest condolences to Shane's family. He is missed and loved by more people than you may imagine.

Shane cut my hair over the past couple years. He loved to talk about the latest movie he had seen or the big concert that was coming. I looked forward for going for a hair cut from Shane because no matter how I felt before I went in, I was always in a good mood when I left. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Please accept my sincere condolences. Shane's passing has only recently come to my attention. I knew him as a client at Papa's Moustache. I looked forward to his exceeding cheerful attitude and general knowledge of events about town. He was without doubt very skilled in his profession. He will be sorely missed by me and I'm sure the many patrons of the shop. Whenever I go to the shop I will always think of him. It was amazing really how many people knew him from all walks of life. I'm sure you have many happy memories and certainly will remain one for me. Geoff
