Obituary of Catherine Gilmette

GILMETTE, Catherine Peacefully at Fairview Manor in Almonte on Tuesday morning, April 18th, 2006. Catherine Elizabeth Gilmette (nee Scott) formerly of Arnprior at the age of 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Gilmette and by a former marriage of the late Archie Currie. Cherished mother of John Currie (Bonnie), Michael Currie (Diane) and Rita Clouthier, all of Arnprior, Doreen Duncan (Doug) of Carp, Mary Blimkie (M.J.) of Renfrew, Eileen Currie, Caroline Currie and Annette Dupuis (Gerard) also of Arnprior. Dearly loved stepmother of Earl Gilmette (Roxy) and John Gilmette (Carol) both of Arnprior. Proud grandmother of 28 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister, Mary Meehan of Corkery. Predeceased by 3 brothers; Manus Scott, Walter Scott, and Matthew Scott and by 3 sisters; Theresa Stack, Rita Sarah Scott and Rose Farrell. Also predeceased by a stepson, Edward �Buddy� Gilmette (Fran of California) and a grandson, Danny Cormier. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Saturday, April 22nd at 12 noon. Interment St. Michael�s Cemetery, Corkery. In remembrance donations to the Terry Fox Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
