To Brenda Hamilton Dear Brenda: We are so saddened to hear of Drew's sudden and untimely passing. He loved and lived life to the full. He was such an intelligent, direct, fair, caring and wonderful engineer and "cowboy" extraordinaire with a great memory and sense of humour. He spoke with well-founded authority,conviction and passion whether it was about business, clients, the "old Carleton days", his horses or fun. His love and caring for you was evident to all who knew you. Drew was a remarkable person, friend and business partner. He was also a great mentor to many and left an indelible mark on the lives of those he touched. We are holding you close in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult and sad time. Brenda, when I was starting out at Renfrew Collegiate, I thought Drew Hamilton was about the most handsome boy I had ever seen, and I admired him -- from afar -- for a long time. It was a pleasure to meet him again a few years ago, and to catch up on the respective stories of our adult lives. His warmth, insight, and abiding love of family were a privilege to share. His name came up in conversation with some old high school friends just last week, and his untimely death is a shock. I regret that I am unable to pay my respects in person; please accept my deepest condolences in your loss. Drew was a very special guy.

I had the chance to work with Drew for the last two summers at McKee. His wonderful sense of humour always made a stressful day seem more manageable. Very sorry to hear of your loss.
