Dear Frank, Jennilea, Kayleigh and Ian, I knew Sue when I taught at St. Joseph's and at John XXIII. She was a kind and generous person. The children loved her. I thought the world of her, too. Sue would light up the staffroom with her smile, she always had time for a chat, and she never arrived empty-handed. Sue was known for her delicious treats! She will be remembered fondly. My deepest sympathies to all of you. Judith Mulvihill

I am very sad that Sue passed away. She helped me when I was extremely sad. She talked to me, listened to me and taught me how to control my feelings. I don't think I would be as happy in my life as I am now if it weren't for Sue. I know she is in heaven and I am glad that she is in a happy place since she can't be on earth anymore. I just want to say Thank You to her and I will say a prayer for her. Sincerely Dakota Stevens Student John XXIII School

Dear Frank, Jennilea, Kayleigh, & Ian: Please accept our deepest condolences at the passing of Sue your dear wife and mother. In our work lives, Sue and I would often chitchat as we passed each other in school corridors, about how our girls were doing as they grew up together and went off to university to pursue their dreams. And Laura was privileged to be a guest at your home on many occasions over many years. Sue was a model mom to inspire the rest of us with her devotion to homemaking- baking, treats, parties, decorating, etc. Sue has been sorely missed in the RCCDSB and many tears have been shed for her. The way she dealt with her illness was with courage, hope, and dignity. Your newspaper tribute to her summed it up so well. I hope you will continue to console and cherish each other and your wonderful memories of Sue and her life, which was a gift. Sincerely, Lynn & Mark Robson, Emily, David, and especially Laura

We were very saddened to hear about Sue's passing. She worked with both of us and it was our privilege to have known her for her compassion for all her students and for her obvious love for her family. We offer our prayers and condolences to all of you, especially to you Jennilea, whom your Mom talked about to us often, perhaps because you went to Bishop's as did our son Matthew, that we feel we know you a bit more. She was so happy about all her children and we know that you are suffering over her loss. She will always be present to you, however, whatever you do and wherever you may go. She will always be with you. We suffer with you at this time, Nancy and Jim

Frank,Jennilea, Kayleigh, and Ian: It was with a truly heavy heart that I received the news of Sue's death. Please accept my deepest sympathy. While only each of you can know the depth of your loss, and others like me cannot understand those depths for you, please know that your loss is shared in whatever ways that that is possible. It was a rare privilege to have known Sue, a rarer privilege to have been able to work with her as a professional, and a privilege even more rare to have come to know her as a friend. No one was too young, no one was too old, no one was too little, and no one was too big to have felt the impact of Sue's presence if they needed her. May God hold each of you, Frank, Jennilea, Kayleigh, and Ian, safely in the palm of His hand, as you celebrate the life of Sue, each in your own way. May He hold you just as safely as Sue held us in the palm of her hand as countless of us felt her presence in our lives, -- supporting, guiding, counselling, and nurturing, as we struggled through rough waters, or as we celebrated something of significance. No one, big, little, old, or young, was ever a bother for Sue. She was there. Thank you each for allowing me to share a tiny bit of her. She was an absolutely marvelous person, an unforgetable one, a person to truly miss, a person to celebrate. God Bless. "R.A.", Bob Daze.
