I am a retired French and Spanish teacher who met Evangeline when she was in the Arnprior Hospital. I am a volunteer and usually entertain the patients with music. I also have a discussion group once a month. Many patients find it difficult to participate but not Evangeline! Wow! She was the highlight of my day. She had a wealth of knowledge and loved to particpate. She had great insights on many topics and we often talked about our students and the highlights of our teaching careers. Sometimes I would stop by just to chat. She had infinite curiosity and always had a variety of newspapers so that she could read different viewpoints on current events. I missed her when she left for Renfrew. She was one special and talented lady. My thought are with you at this time.
