Obituary of Weldon Holmes

HOLMES, Weldon (Veteran WWII) (Retired - Ottawa Valley News) Suddenly but peacefully at home on Monday morning, November 6th, 2006. Weldon Taylor Holmes of Arnprior at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband for over 55 years of Jackie (Nee Madore). Dearly loved father of Nancy MacFadden (David) of Mississauga, Cathy Holmes -Glenn (Keith Munro) and Stephen Holmes, both of Arnprior. Cherished and proud �Grampa� of Jennifer (Adam), Stephanie and Samantha and �Great-Grampa� of Fiona, Parker and Nathanial. Dear brother of Frances Needham (Ken) of Pakenham and Thelma Green (late Cletus) of Marmora. Special brother-in-law of Milton Fiss (Irene) of Sudbury, Eric Robillard (late Edna) of Arnprior and Frank Madore (Th�r�se) of Ottawa. Predeceased by a brother Bert and a sister Audrey Fiss. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. only. A Service to celebrate the life of Weldon Holmes will be conducted in Grace St. Andrew�s United Church, Arnprior on Friday morning, November 10th at 11 o�clock. Rev. David Illman-White officiating. For those wishing, a donation made to the Renfrew County Lung Association or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174 Arnprior would be appreciated by the family. Due to severe allergies, floral tributes are gratefully declined.
