Suddenly at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday, January 19, 2007; Donald Keith Shaw of Brockville, a native of Arnprior, at the age of 68 years. Son of the late Fred and Gertrude Shaw. Beloved husband and best friend of Wanda (nee McEwen). Dearly loved brother of Sandra "Sandi" Fahie (Terry) of Ottawa. Predeceased by three brothers, Perley, Doug and Bev; and by six sisters, Jean Shaw, Eunice Shaw, Margaret "Peg" McCuaig, Elizabeth "Betty" Shaw, Nora Ruddy and Norma Wilson. Dear brother-in-law of Bernie Ruddy, Beverly Shaw, Patricia Shaw, Morna and Melvin McEwen, Jim and Marg McEwen. Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law Greta and Peter Stewart, Roxie and Ernie Baker, Waveney and Boyd Campbell, Bernard and Marion McEwen, Willis McEwen, and Lois Marshall. Proud uncle of many nieces and nephews, and fondly remembered by his God Son, David Wilson of Ottawa. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Members of the Brockville Lions and Lioness Clubs are requested to gather for a memorial service at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:45pm (fellow Lions of other clubs are most welcome to participate). In celebration of Don's life, the funeral ceremony will be held in Wall Street United Church on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Thence to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arprior, where friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. A service of committal will follow at White Lake Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Thursday. In remembrance, donations to the Lung Association or the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
