Dear John, Penny, Paula and Paige - I offer my heartfelt sympathy to all of you on the passing of your wonderful wife and mother. I first met Carol 15 years ago when I became the vice-principal of ADHS, and was happily reacquainted with her when I returned as the principal in 2002. Carol was a true lady - refined, gracious, gentle and generous. Never once in all the time I knew her did I hear her raise her voice or say an unkind word to anyone or about anyone - and this was despite working daily with learning challenged teenagers! I greatly admired the positive attitude and strength that she brought to her last challenge with her heart. I know she lived a good life, though it certainly seems that it wasn't long enough. I hope you draw some of that same strength and contentment from the many good wishes and loving thoughts about Carol that I'm sure will be coming your way in the next few days.
