Obituary of Gloria Sidney
(nee Runtz)
(October 1, 1929 – February 4, 2023)
Peacefully at Caressant Care in Lindsay, Ontario early Saturday morning, February 4, 2023; Gloria Ruth Joyce Sidney passed away at the age of 93 years.
Beloved wife for 63 years of the late Swin Sidney. Proud and much loved mother of Larry, Donald (Andrea) and David. Dear sister of Ruby Cleroux (late Alan).
Predeceased by her brothers Victor (late Aletha), Weldon (late June) and Percy (Sadie). Daughter of the late Alexander and Rose (nee Walters) Runtz.
Cherished grandmother of Alison, Jennifer, Chantelle, Christopher, Kay and Olive.
Also survived and lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews.
Gloria was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed hosting family get-togethers.
She loved to share a good laugh with family and friends and enjoyed outdoor activities, always bicycling, gardening or taking long walks.
Gloria’s Christian faith was steadfast and was her guiding light. May she have forever peace as she continues her journey in the care of her trusted angels.
Her final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the
Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior
where visitation was held on Friday, February 17th from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.
A Funeral Service was conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Friday at 12 noon. A reception followed.
Interment Albert Street Cemetery, Arnprior.
