Obituary of Joan Pountney

POUNTNEY, Joan Peacefully in hospital at Arnprior following a brief struggle with cancer on Saturday evening, June 2nd, 2007. Joan Isabel Pountney of Arnprior at the age of 69 years. Dear daughter of the late Bill LaCroix and the late Leah Langlois. Beloved wife of the late Ronald "Ron" Pountney (October 3rd, 2003). Dearly loved mother of Sandra Pountney (late Ken McLean) of Rideau Ferry and Brian Pountney (Joy) of Ferguson Falls. Dear sister of Lorraine Crain (late Ernie) of North Bay, Lorna Wright of Arnprior and Bill LaCroix (Karen) of Calgary. Cherished "Nan P." of Becky and Dustin Pountney. Dear sister-in-law of Ethel Comeau (Edgar) of Sault Ste. Marie, Bob Pountney (Margaret) of Renfrew, Terry Pountney (Yvonne) of Sault Ste. Marie and Larry Pountney of Calgary. Predeceased by a sister Lucille Loucks (late Graham). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Thursday. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Pilon Family Chapel on Thursday morning, June 7th at 11 o'clock. Cremation will follow with interment in the Albert Street Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Joan, a donation made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
