I was very saddened to hear of Hazel's passing. She truly was a woman of God and one to be admired. I consider myself to be greatly blessed for knowing her. I have fond memories of being accepted at Willing Worker's meetings at the Phillips household with Mom and Nanny....how special Hazel always made me feel. I always loved the mornings that she and Les had special music...memories that I will forever hold dear to my heart. Unfortunately I will be out of town for the visitation and funeral, but please know that my heart is with you and that I am sending prayers of encouragement your way. Her voice will be a great addition to the Heavenly choir...how lucky they are to have her..I am sure that she and Les are already singing a duet!! May the sadness you now feel be replaced with wonderful memories as you celebrate Hazel's wonderful faithfilled life.

Dear Janice & Charles, Sheryl phoned this evening with the sad news of Aunt Hazel's passing. Laura and I, as well as Kim & Greg and Jennifer & Regi send our sincere sympathy and condolences at this time of loss. Your mother was such as special lady and provided so many wonderful memories for a multitude of people that she will be long and fondly remembered. She lived a life that mirrored her faith and provided an example for so many others to follow. I have too many memories to be able to list them here but I will always treasure the times spent at the farm (usually with a lot of food involved) and the patience and good humour she exhibited in all circumstances. She was always quick with a laugh and even at our last visit at her apartment when she was not in the best of health, she let us see the wit and humour that made her so special. I, along with you shall miss her very much but we can take comfort in the knowledge that she is with our Lord in a place where there is no pain or sorrow. Certainly our thoughts and prayers are with both of you and your households. I wish I could be with you but will hold you close to my heart over the difficult days ahead. Love. Wayne & Laura

Aunt Hazel was a fiesty lady that helped me become a man by her "no nonsense" attitude of right and wrong. I'll always remember the wonderful times that my sister and I spent on the farm near Arnprior. For us city kids, it as an awesome way to spend the summer. Although Hazel and Uncle Tommy made us work all summer, what a good way to understand the value of hard work and dedication to farm values. And the food? WOW, could she cook! I'll miss her, her smile and sense of humor. My thoughts go out to Janice and Charles as well as all of her many family members and friends.

Dear Charlie, Janice, Reg, Brad & Justin: Our sincere condolences on the loss of Hazel - she was such a kind, generous & loving person - we have never forgotten how she accepted us into the family with open arms and helping hands. We have so many fond memories of Wednesday dinners with "Nanny Hazel", drives to school & Sunday morning breakfast at Jim's after church. She will always be in our thoughts and in our hearts. We consider ourselves blessed to have been able to spend the time that we did with her. Carrie, Carly & Ashlyn
