Peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Monday evening, February 20th, 2012. Cécile Marguerite Baker (née Verstraete) Beloved wife of the late Harry Baker (1968). Dearly loved mother of John Baker (Nancy Dougherty) of Arnprior and Monique Baker-Wishart (Wayne) of Ottawa. Dear friend of Paul Bogaert. Cherished grandmother of John, Melina and Kevin Wishart (Holly Matthews). Dear sister of Anne-Marie Verstraete of Belgium. Predeceased by her sister, Edy Verstraete. Cécile loved people and she loved life. A kind and considerate neighbour and friend, she will be remembered for her outgoing nature and her tremendous love of the French language…both taught and spoken. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until funeral time. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the Pilon Family Chapel on Friday morning, February 24th at 11 o'clock followed by interment in the Albert Street Cemetery, Arnprior. In memory of Cécile, a donation to the Arnprior Hospital "Partners in Caring" Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
