My deepest condolences to Nick's family, especially Mary and my brother-in-law Chris. It had been many years since I saw Nick. I think the last time was several years ago at Chris and Sandra's home during Christmas. He was always very kind, and a wonderful grandfather to my nieces Vanessa and Casey. Our condolences to Mary and all of the family. As neighbours Madeleine and I enjoyed very much waiving to them in the morning, chatting with them and visiting with them for a drink from time to time. My deepest condolences to Auntie Mary, Maryanne, Christopher,Patricia and family.I am so glad that we had a visit with Uncle Basil last September, he had not changed one bit. I have lots of memories of him when I was a little girl and a teen ager as well as his visits out west. His last visit out west was with Auntie Mary about 8 years ago when they came out to spend Christmas with their daughter Patricia and her family. Uncle Basil and Aunt Mary spent an evening with us around our Christmas Tree and we shared many wonderful stories of the Nicholls family on Snowdon street and Second ave. His sense of humour and wonderful warmth always shone through! Have a good journey to the other side Uncle Basil and please give my Mom and Dad a big hug from me when you see them! Love Christine

Dear Auntie Mary, Maryanne, Christopher and Patricia and family. I am so sorry that Uncle Basil has passed away. He was a wonderful man and my sister Christine and I were so happy to have spent time together last September. We will treasure those memories and many childhood memories always. I know that he is in heaven with Grandma, Grandpa, my dad (Cyril), Uncle Bob and Auntie Nelda, Auntie Carm and Auntie Pat. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we will be with you, but by distance watching the service on the webcam. Love to you all and will talk again soon, Angela.

Dear Mary and Maryanne and all Nick's family, I was so sorry to hear about Nick's sudden passing. He was such a wonderful man! I always enjoyed visiting your home, with June, and especially sitting and talking with Nick and listening to his wonderful sense of humour.
