Obituary of Frank Chapeskie

CHAPESKIE, Frank (Veteran WWII ) (Retired Smith's Construction) Peacefully in hospital at Ottawa surrounded by his loving family on Sunday evening, September 2nd, 2007. Frank Jacob Chapeskie of Arnprior at the age of 85 years. Frank was proud to have made his home for seven years at the Arnprior Villa, one year at the Grove Nursing Home and his final two months at the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre where he received exemplary care from all. Dear son of the late Peter Chapeskie and the late Pauline Rumleskie. Beloved husband of the late Stella Kulas (1978). Cherished father of Robert and his wife Josée Méthot of Orléans. Dearly loved brother of John of Cobden, Barbara Armstrong of Brockville and Dorothy Howick of Hamilton. Predeceased by a brother, Peter, a sister, Anne Stegne and an infant granddaughter, Danielle. Special thank you to Marie for your guidance, compassion and for just being there for our family. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Friday, September 7th at 12 noon. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Arnprior Hospital "Partners in Caring" Campaign or the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre would be appreciated by the family. Members of the RCL Branch 174 will assemble at the funeral home for a Tribute Service on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.
