Gina from Kelowna,
I was stunned when I heard the sad news of Dave's death.
I will always remember him as Rob's side kick, constantly ready with a witty comeback.
So devoted to the Scott family, I firsthought that he was part of it.
He traveled miles on bad roads to see Aidan play hockey.
Dave was always ready with a joke or witty comment you always left Dave smiling.
My very last memory of him was him running across the street to bring me a 'real' tea bag -Tetley-
We enjoyed a cuppa together.
I will miss Dave's dead pan humor either at hockey games or at the Scotts.
God Bless.
Gina Dean.

I was saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. I enjoyed our time together in the Kelowna St. John Ambulance Brigade. Dave was a very strong member of the brigade and I always enjoyed doing duties with him. His positive attitude and sense of humour make him such a fun person to be with. My thoughts and prayers are with his family ... he will be missed!

To David Jr. and Family I have just heard of Your Dad's passing and am indeed Shocked to learn of his sudden death Please accept my heartfelt condolence He was such a special man so sensitive and caring last time he was here we spent the afternoon chatting and relaxing out in the back yard he asked what needed to be done around here and he ended up climbing into the dirty old Maples here and was topping them off for me. But He got me good he left me with the mess to clean up so he could go have supper with his mom. I am so grateful that I had that time with him I will never forget it. Dave was the best Landlord I have ever had and I will miss him. He is now in the arms of the angels and in a better place. RIP Dave I am a better person for knowing you. Dorothy

dearest David Jr. and all the Bourke family, This week our family has a great void in our lives and much sorrow to contend with. We know Dave would not want us to be sad but we all have lost a great friend. Our children Kate, Aidan and Ryan have grown up knowing him as "Uncle Dave" and almost like a second father. He meant so much to them, They will have so many good memories of times they shared with him. We all know Dave's great memories will carry on with us throught our life time. " get er done Daisy!!"

Really sad to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with and beside Dave for many many years at Gillies Lumber in Braeside. We worked together in the Planning Mill where Dave was a Grader. We had alot of laughs there on the different shifts we worked together and playing hockey. Me and my wife and Dave also had some good laughs up at the Douglas Tavern on St. Paddy's Day when he came home from working out West and at the AC/DC concerts we used to attend. Can still picture Dave with his Dog Sled Teams running up & down the Ottawa River in the Winter time. He always liked riding his motorcycle hard as well You will be missed buddy we had alot of laughs that will stay with us! Paul & Irene Sauve

So sad to hear of David's passing. Just stumbled upon it today when reading thru some Ottawa Valley news. David was a great guy -- I have many fond memories of hanging out at His and Anna's place in Braeside with Maureen back in the day. So sorry for your loss. Sherri
