Obituary of Evelyn Thomas

THOMAS, Evelyn Peacefully at The Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior on Wednesday evening, October 10th, 2007. Beloved daughter of the late Albert Thomas and of the late Margaret Elizabeth Telford. Evelyn was predeceased by her 6 sisters: Pearl, Myrtle, Dein, May, Theresa and Emily; 2 brothers: John and Sidney as well as great-nephews: Sidney and Eric Thomas. She is survived by her only niece, Phyllis Burgess-Brown of Renfrew as well as several great-nieces and nephews. Born in Sand Point, Evelyn later moved to Arnprior to receive a formal education. She worked for many years with the unemployment office in Arnprior before retiring in 1973. Evelyn was a resident of The Arnprior Villa prior to moving into The Grove Nursing Home where she would spend the final days of her life. A private family visitation will be held at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Saturday, October 13th, 2007. A private service will follow with interment at the Albert Street Cemetery, Arnprior. In remembrance, donations to Grace St. Andrew's United Church, Arnprior or the Arnprior Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
