To Clare's Family.... I admired Clare very much. I would often see her at our PA day activities with the Renfrew County School Board. I also saw her at some of our Women''s Institute gatherings too. And in the last few years, I have worked at McNab Public School and would see her having fun with her grandchildren at The Fun Fair every spring. She had an elegance about her and always a gentle, kind manner in all those things that I saw her participate in. That kind of a presence will always be missed. I first met Clare when I starting working at McNab Public School over 26 years ago. She was the mother of 3 boys who were attending McNab. Clare would often volunteer at the school, as she lived right across the road. When the time came for the office to receive extra help, Clare applied for the job and got it. That was the beginning of her career with the Renfrew County District School Board. There was never a job too small or difficult that she couldn't do. As time went on, Clare applied for other secretarial positions, slowly making her way up the Seniority List. When the time came for the School Board to build a new school in Arnprior, Clare was the successful candidate and became the first secretary to A.J. Charbonneau School. She was very deserving of this job. With her previous experiences at other schools, she was able to set up her office to what worked for her. She was now part of the Arnprior Family of School secretaries. Over the years, the ladies from Walter Zadow, A.J., ADHS and McNab would often travel together to workshops in Pembroke. We enjoyed chatting the entire trip, without any interuptions (phones, students, etc. - ha ha) With that being said, we would also call each other if advice or a little help was needed. More often than not it was to borrow something if we were running short. My last delivery to Clare was dropping off something at her home mailbox during the end of June. She was proud to part of A.J. Charbonneau School, where many friendships were formed. She will be missed by staff, students and parents. I will truly miss calling you Clare for a favour. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten!

We were sad to hear of Mrs Hamilton's passing. She was such a wonderful lady. When we would see her at our daughter's school she was always friendly and knew everyone by name. She will be missed by kids and parents at AJ!! Our condolences to her family and friends for your loss.

I was shocked to hear of Clare's passing today. I'm going to miss seeing her at the front desk of the school. She was always very kind and pleasant to chat with. I'm sure she'll be missed by staff and students alike. My deepest condolences.

Dave It has been a great shock to hear of your wife, Clare's, sudden passing. I cannot imagine what you are going through at this time. I do want you to know that I am thinking of you and your family and praying that you find comfort in knowing that you have many friends doing the same.
