To all Dorothy's nieces and nephews: As you know, Dorothy was the same as family to us. Our lives will never be the same without her. She held on to precious memories of her life with her own family, which include all of you. It gave her so much pleasure to get you all together one last time. If she could have one wish for all of you, know that it's for you to stay connected as a family. Many thanks to Lori (Dorothy's niece) and Ronnie McGee who helped Dorothy in many ways and certainly have been very supportive to our family as we struggled with what happening and what we knew was coming. with our love, Imelda Jane, Sheldon, Tannis & Brennan

Dorothy was a woman of strong faith and not afraid of death. She often said that God put her on this earth and he will take her back when he is ready; and she would be ready to go with him when that time came. Well, that time came on October 24, 2007 about 7:30 am. She is now at peace. One of her final pleasures was to have her remaining family, her nieces and nephews, gather together for a pot luck dinner at her home, which she arranged. We all attended and had a wonderful time with her and each other. That was her legacy to us and I will always remember her for that particular endeavour. I want to send a heartfelt thank you to Amelda Jane and Sheldon for their tireless and unconditional love, care and support of Dorothy over the years. They were as close as family to Dorothy as one could be and did so very much for her. They are a special family and deserve special recognition and condolence.
