Obituary of Harry Rice

RICE , Harry (Retired Boeing, Arnprior) Harry was called home to The Lord while surrounded by his loving family in hospital at Arnprior on Saturday evening, December 15th, 2007. Harry Edward Rice of Pine Grove (Arnprior) at the age of 71 years. Son of the late Major Harry Rice and the late Hazel McConeghy. Beloved husband and best friend for over 54 years of Shirley (nee Lascelle). Dearly loved and proud father of Randy and his wife Teresa of Arnprior. Dear brother of Bill Rice (Dorothy) of Kirkland Lake and special step-brother of Scott Serson (Kathy) of Ottawa and Bill Serson (Nancy Bond) of Pakenham. Predeceased by his brothers Donald and Robert Rice. Cherished "Grampa" of Shannon Cameron (Todd), Kelly Bennett (Jamie Campbell), Jenilee Rice and Laura Imbleau (Josh). Precious "Poppy" of Haidin, Jensyn, Cassie, Keigan and Alexis. Harry will be fondly remembered by his many brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. A time of remembrance and special music will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel on Tuesday evening at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Wednesday morning, December 19th at 10:30. Interment will follow at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In memory of Harry, a donation made to the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital "Partners in Caring" Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
