Suddenly while skiing at Collingwood on Saturday, January 5th, 2008. Heinz Walter Niederhauser of White Lake at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Blanche Drapeau. Cherished father of Lars (Paula) of Toronto, Tom (Tanya) and Glen (Francine), both of Ottawa, Sven and Jana, both at home. Cherished grandfather of Amelia, Liam, Talya and Tyra. Loved brother of Erik (Sonja), Ulrich (Stefania), Urs (Evelyn) and Timmy Kistler (Kay), all of Switzerland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Heinz will be fondly remembered by his very special friends John Catching of Ottawa; Ed and Cathy Cottell, also of Ottawa as well as countless other wonderful friends, students and acquaintances in the skiing community. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Saturday afternoon, January 12th from 2 o'clock until the time of a Celebration of Heinz' life to be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel at 4 o'clock. A reception will follow in the Pilon Family Reception Centre. In memory of Heinz, a donation made to the "Heinz Niederhauser Coaching Scholarship", c/o Cross Country Canada, 100-1995 Olympic Way, Canmore, Alberta T1W 2T6 would be appreciated by the family.
