Obituary of Joyce Sayle

SAYLE, Joyce Edith With great sadness the family announces the passing of Joyce Sayle (Nee Peckham) on Saturday morning, January 19th after a short illness at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her treasured husband Don who brought her to Canada as a young bride after WWII. Cherished mother of Mac (Leanne) of Charlottetown, P.E.I. and Chris Purvis (Steve) of Arnprior. Devoted grandmother of Stephen (Heidi), Bryan and Lesley Anne (Allan) Sayle and Paul and Cory (Kathy) Woodrow. Step-grandmother of Brad Purvis (Tammy) and Lisa Kennedy (Rob). Proud great-grandmother of nine. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister in England. Joyce was an inspiration to her family and will be remembered as a true friend by many. She brought kindness, joy, humour and compassion to all. Joyce lived her life to the fullest, loved to travel, volunteer her time and was passionate about playing cards. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be celebrated in Grace St. Andrew's United Church, Arnprior on Wednesday, January 23rd at 11 o'clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Arnprior Hospital "Partners in Caring" Foundation, the Grace St. Andrew's United Church or a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
