Obituary of Roy McCormick

McCORMICK, Roy Peacefully in hospital at Arnprior on Monday morning, January 21st, 2008. Roy Andrew McCormick at the age of 74 years. Dear son of the late Charles McCormick and the late Bertha Malette. Beloved husband and best friend for almost 55 years of Rose (Nee LeBlanc). Cherished father of Perry (Monica LaFont) of Arnprior, Jeffrey (Melodie Summers) of Renfrew, Nancy Peckett (Tom) of Braeside and Penny Harris (Paul) of Carleton Place. Dearly loved brother of Ken (Doris) of London, Ron (Bernadette) of Arnprior and Dorothy Stoiber (Walter) of Ottawa. Treasured grandfather of Cory, Trevor and Ashley Nicholas, Teresa and Lindsay Douglas and Mandy, Corbi and Jeffrey McCormick and great-grandfather of Austin, Owen and Jacob. Roy will also be missed by his extended family. Predeceased by his daughter, Mary Theresa, his brother, Gordon (late Dorothy) and his sister Marion Vermette (late Maurice). Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. only. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Thursday morning, January 24th at 10:30. Cremation will follow. In remembrance, donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
