We are very sad to hear about the passing of Betty. She was the "Grandma" of Braside. The doors of the LeBlanc house were never locked --- everyone was welcome. She touched so many lives over the years, including my own. When I was a little girl I would go to the chip stand and just hang out talking with her. Sometimes, Betty and I would go in to sit at her kitchen table and talk while she painted my fingernails. Betty always had her nails so pretty with polish. When I got older and we would leave from the LeBlanc house to go snowmobiling, Betty always made us take one of her homemade meat pies to cook on our bonfire. That was just Betty --- always giving the kids around Braseide a little touch from home. Betty, may you rest in peace. I know you have had a wonderous reunion with Mr. LeBlanc.
