Don't know where to start about my uncle Lyle. He was a fountain of knowledge and a great example to me my entire life. Despite his burly exterior, he was a very gentle man and a very smart cookie; knew people sometimes better than they knew themselves and was always careful to choose his words meaningfully. His gadgets and mechanical aptitude are legendary and will likely never be equaled. He could fix anything! Mechanical, electrical, gas, oil, small engine, large engine... he was a great teacher. Taught me how to take care of my car since I was 16 and all else since. Never met a guy like that, who would drink (gin) in the Pontiac from a tall skinny fluted glass that you might see in a Manhattan night club. Flooded with thoughts and memories that will always be cherished and remembered.

Dear Helen, I am so saddened to hear the news about Uncle Lyle. I have soo many great memories of Uncle Lyle helping me fix my 4 wheelers and snowmobiles. I loved coming over and just being in your garage with him. I will also miss talking to him about hockey! He will be deeply missed.
