Our thought and prayers are with your family. My son & I met Shirley & Guy while staying with Hilmar in Guatemala. The two days we spent with them was wonderful. They both made us feel like we knew them a life-time. I enjoyed seeing Shirley's updates on what they were doing in Guatemala. I cherish the two days I spent with her and wanted to let you know what an inspiration Shirley has been to me. God bless you.

I only met Shirley for a brief moment during lunch at a ladies conference. She shared with great enthusiasm the mission work God had called her to. Her joy and love was contagious as she told stories of her past adventures and the dreams of those to come. She was a true Glory Carrier. I have no doubt that what Shirley has begun will continue. My Mother was an angel that God has sent down to watch over Me, Tim, Melanie & Raymond when he couldn’t be there to stand beside us. Even though we lost our Mother’s presence beside us children, she will always be with us. My favorite hand to hold has always been my Mother’s. Now I know that even if I don’t physically feel it, she will be holding our hands every step of the way. I know one day we will join you Mom in heaven and you will welcome us with open arms.
