Obituary of Ivan Simpson

SIMPSON, Ivan Peacefully in hospital at Arnprior while surrounded by loved ones on Saturday evening, February 9th, 2008. Ivan Simpson of Arnprior in his 80th year following a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of the late Lucie Gagnon (June 19th, 1996). Dearly loved and proud father of Robert (Brenda) and Bernice Strong (Robert), both of Arnprior; Susan (Larry Charbonneau) of Ottawa, Sylvia Sweet (Gary) and Ivan Jr., both of Arnprior, Richard of Ottawa and Ronald of Arnprior. Cherished "Grampa" of Nancy, Matt, Chad, Robert, Ryan, Leanne and "Great-Grampa" of Kyle, Marissa, Tyler, Owen, Hayden, Lauren, Brett, Gillian and Braxton. Predeceased by his 2 brothers and 9 sisters. Ivan will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving friend, Lena Aubé. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A private family service will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Wednesday followed by interment at the Malloch Road Cemetery in Arnprior. For those wishing, a donation made to L'Arche Arnprior or the Renfrew County Association for Community Living would be appreciated by the Simpson families.
