Obituary of Earl Murdoch

MURDOCH, Earl (Retired Playtex, Arnprior) Peacefully in hospital at Ottawa while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday afternoon, February 21st, 2008. Earl Archibald Murdoch of Arnprior at the age of 84 years. Dear son of the late Archie and Sadie Murdoch. Beloved husband for over 62 years of Winnifred Belsher. Cherished "Dad" of Gary Murdoch of Limoges and Janice Hyland (and her husband, Ron) of Arnprior. Predeceased by a daughter, Linda. Dear brother of Henry Murdoch (Isabel) of Arnprior and Don Murdoch of Braeside. Special brother-in-law of Margaret Dodds (late Ernie) of Arnprior. Predeceased by a brother, Bert. Earl was the proud and devoted "Poppa" of his pride and joy, Jason Hyland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 12:30 p.m. Sunday. A Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Earl Murdoch will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow at the Albert Street Cemetery. In remembrance, a donation made to the Arnprior Hospital "Partners in Caring" Foundation would be appreciated by the Murdoch families.
