I have to echo Brent's post. It's hard to believe that someone with such joy of life is gone. Though it's been a long time since those 'beach' days I'll always remember his laugh and great smile. One time we thought it would be cool to drive my Uncle's boat up onto the beach near where some of the rest of the gang were having a bonfire. But somehow we misjudged our speed and distance and ended up running the boat right into the fire. Paul, Steve and I ended up jumping out of the boat and running alongside of it, hanging on and trying to break its momentum by hand. The people at the fire scattered but no one and nothing was damaged. Good times and lots of adventures like that. He will be greatly missed!

Our sincere condolences Maureen, Ed and James... we have watched you all soldier bravely through this battle, as well as Paul, always insisting on absolutely moving forward with strength and courage. We have been in awe of Paul as he persisted with his usual spunk and spirit, right to the end. I have so many memories of him as a teenager living beside him (he was so cool to the teenaged younger me!), and watching him grow into his adult years and as father to the incredible James... what an incredible and amazing kid. It was always easy to see the enormity of Paul's tremendous pride in him. You have all been heavy on my mind, and my thoughts and prayers are with you all... Darlene (Kevin, Syd and Jack)

I have a lot of great memories of Paul and the gang growing up down at "the beach". Great times and great memories, that laugh is embedded .... I'll never forget it !!
Paul taught me how to build the "perfect" bike jump .... thank God he always wanted to go off the jumps first !!!!
