I have such fond memories of Geoff growing up as a kid during summers at pickerel bay. He was such a kind and funny man and we all love him. Dustin told us of his passing during our current stay at cottage 5. Unforgettable presence. Those water snakes sure said hello: we saw a huge one today right off the dock of upenough when we were in the kayaks.
Geoff is sure showing us a great time, even in non physical form! Miss ya big guy !

Peggy, it is with deep regret that I have learned, just now, of Geoff's passing. Many, many years have gone by but the memories of the adventures & mischief we shared as youngsters are very vivid for me. Geoff's picture, posted here, is one of a fine, strong man. I visited Pickerel Bay Lodge for many years while my daughter, Eleanor was growing up. One year, when she was about four, she proudly showed Geoff a snake she had caught, and was carrying in her hands. I think he was a little surprised by this......Geoff always made us feel like we were friends on a visit, rather than customers. Often, he would forget a few charges here and there. We enjoyed seeing him from one year to the next in such a very beautiful place.
