Obituary of Joanne Duchesneau

DUCHESNEAU, Joanne (nee Melcher) It is with great sorrow that we mourn the passing of Joanne on Sunday October 9, 2011 in her 48th year after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife and soul mate to her best friend Dean and a loving, proud mother to her baby doll, Hannah. She was the beloved daughter of Patricia (Ron Carty) and the late Edward Melcher. Dear sister of Tony (Cheryl) Melcher, Kelly (Mike)Courchesne and Natalie (Lance) Lalonde. Cherished and loved daughter in law of Gerry, Molly and sister in law of Fern. She was loved by and so proud of her many nieces and nephews. She is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and a grandmother, Masie. She will be forever remembered by her many friends, peers and colleagues at Metro where she worked for over 31 years. It would be safe to say that Joanne made a positive impact on everyone she knew. Her love for children, family and friendship will never be forgotten. Joanne's generosity and outgoing personality are cemented in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered for her passion for food and attention to detail. "It's all about food". A visitation and Funeral Mass are taking place in Newmarket on Wednesday and Thursday. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Friday evening, October 14th from 7 to 9 p.m. only. A private interment will take place at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior.
