Obituary of Wilson Carruthers

CARRUTHERS, Wilson May 12, 1923 - May 12, 2014 (Veteran WW II - RCAF) Peacefully at the Arnprior Hospital with loved ones by his side on Monday morning, May 12th, 2014; Harold Wilson Carruthers of Arnprior passed away on his 91st birthday. Dear son of the late Keith Carruthers and the late Amy Loughridge. Beloved husband and best friend for over 68 years of Lois (nee Lang). Dearly loved and proud father of Larry (and his wife Penny) of Glasgow Station; Donna Frank (Norbert) of Carp; Carl (and his wife Cathy) of Stittsville and Trent (and his wife Vicky) of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Darrin Frank (Chantal Lamadeleine); Derek, Kail and Briar Carruthers; Melanie and Sydney Carruthers and greatgrandfather of Kamryn. Dear brother of Betty Irven (late Harold) of Ottawa. Predeceased by his brothers: Stuart and Gerald (Patsy of Chesterville). Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Wilson with his family during visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Thursday evening, May 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning, May 16th from 10 until 10:45. A Service to honour Wilson's life will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o'clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery. In memory of Wilson, a donation to the Arnprior Humane Society would be appreciated by his family. Legion tribute Thursday evening at 5:45 p.m.
