I met Catrien when I visited Canada for Dick and Debbie's wedding. It was June and summer in Canada. I met a loving and generous aunt who opened her home to me as I enjoyed my time there with her and my uncle and cousins.
We met her again when she visited Australia and she gave my youngest daughter Amy Bear as a present. Amy Bear still lives with us. Our family were struck by her warmth and caring and she has entered our conversations often since then.
As we found out about Catrien's illness and decline in health we remember and share happy memories of brief moments we talked and shared time with her.
Now we wish her family strength and warmth as she now leaves us but lives on in our hearts and memories. Our love to all her family from all of us. With love and support, Maria, Miles, James, Alison and Elise Turnbull (Australia).
